Just in case you missed it throughout the day, we are honored to share this with you:
“How two young journalists are highlighting longform journalism written by women”
We were featured on Poynter‘s front page this morning and as of this evening, we are one of the top read stories on the site. Managing Editor Mallary Tenore contacted us back in June about featuring us on the Poynter Institute’s website, and we’ve so enjoyed keeping her in the loop about The Riveter‘s process throughout the past few months. Her article (along with our Q&A) is a complete retrospective about what we’ve been up to since March with a look into the immediate future. A couple of things to emphasize:
1. Starting next week, we will be publishing our five new columnists’ introductory columns. They each applied to be one of our weekly columnists with a distinct theme and mission in mind, and we hope you grow attached to them as we already have. They’ve each identified an important factor of a feminine narrative that they’ll be exploring in ways not found elsewhere.
2. We’ve created our own store marketplace on Storeenvy, where you can buy both the print and digital editions of our first issue.
3. Starting in September, The Riveter will officially be relocated to Minneapolis. Issue 1 is already available in several Twin Cities bookstores (including Moon Palace Books, Sub-Text, Common Good and Micawbers), and we are so enthusiastic about the welcoming and vibrant publishing community that exists in the Twin Cities.
We hope you take some time to read the Poynter piece!
Riveting content by women, for everyone.
